I think blogs are a good way to express your feelings without feeling restricted. As far as education goes I don't think blogs belong unless the subject is journalism. I wouldn't say they are a waste of time but I think there are other methods in education that are more productive.
When it comes to blogging about assignments, and things like that, I agree. But if it were a case where the students were just blogging about things on their minds I can see it as being pretty beneficial. It could potentially put the students at ease, and they could focus more on school.
I agree with that blogging probably only belongs in a journalism class.
